New Zealand is the land of adventure and Sky Piercer sees World Champion athletes Xavier De le Rue, Nadine Wallner and local Sam Smoothy take on the iconic peak of Mt. Cook. Being beaten down by weather the trio adventure around the south island embracing the road trip and in their last twenty-four hours attempt to make the challenging climb.
“Mt Cook isn’t just our highest mountain, it epitomises the whole Alps,” Smoothy says. “As long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to get up and down it and to do so in the style I like to ski, at full speed, makes the wait worth it.”
