Speed flyer Carson Klein shows us the importance of checking your landing area:
Speed flying is the incredibly dangerous air sport in which the athlete flies a small fabric wing in very close proximity to a slope, and the steeper the better.
Due to the high flight speed (20 – 90 mph) and the extremely close proximity to mountainous slopes and obstacles, injury and death are a considerable risk.
Carson Klein was incredibly lucky he walked away with just a broken hip after speed flying into freeway overpass, never underestimate planning!!!
