As you may have seen in the media recently, 20 year old Australian surfer Brett Connellan was brutally attacked by a 3 metre Great White shark surfing his home break of Bombo Beach on the South Coast of NSW. Brett suffered serious injury to his upper left thigh/hand and has been fighting for his life since the moment of the attacked.
Brett’s rehabilitation is an extremely complex and challenging task and the associated medical expenses are likely to be substantial. To assist Brett and his family meet these expenses friends of his are planning a fundraiser event for Saturday June 25 at the Kiama Pavilion.
Filmmaker and buddy of Brett, Max Zappas produced the above video from a recent shoot down South before the attack featuring pro surfer Dylan Longbottom to promote the fundraiser.
Brett’s fundraiser is open for anyone to attend or alternatively you can submit a donation to help with his recovery – all details are in the above video.
