Whale Shark is the biggest fish on this planet but is highly endangered. This species is mainly found on the coast of Kenya where population is one of the poorest in the world. Very desperate fishermen cut their fin and tail which is a delicassy in some Asian country. They manage then to survive for a few more month. Former fisherman Volker Bassin, after a horrible experience seeing a big Whale Shark bleeding to death after its tail was cut by fisherman, decided to encourage tourism in this region with Whale Shark Tours. In parallel he is educating local population about preservation and proving to them that these animal are more valuable for them alive than dead.
