Located in Utah, Bonneville is home to the annual Bonneville speed race where over 100 racers attempt land speed records on anything from mopeds to rocket cars.This event gathers riders from all over the world with hundreds of old and new bikes and cars, each vehicle has a story. Competitors spend years building these beasts in their garage’s to bring them out to the Bonneville Salt Flats for the ultimate test, to break a world speed record!The 65th Annual event took place recently and filmmaker Dana Brown was there to capture it for his newly released moto film On Any Sunday, The Next Chapter, a film in honour of his father’s (Bruce Brown, Step Into Liquid, Endless Summer) 1971 classic and academy award nominated film On Any Sunday starring Steve McQueen.On Any Sunday, The Next Chapter pays homage to the motorcycle and those who ride, this scene in the film does just that featuring some of the coolest cats and motor vehicles in the business including champion racer Carlin Dunne who set out to break the world record speed on a motorbike hitting 350km/h (117 mph) only to fall short by only 11km/h as his engine blows up in the final seconds.Check out a collection of stills featured in the film: Want to see more?
