Every once in a blue moon you stumble across a film you can watch over and over without getting bored, Strange Rumblings is one of those films, it’ll get you amped to go surf with a little help from the all star cast Dion Agius, Nate Tyler, Creed McTaggart, Brendon Gibbens, the Hobgoods, Noa Deane, and Taj Burrow and at the same time makes you want to sit back and take in the breathtaking locations these lucky guys surf and travel.
From dreamy French beach breaks to exotic islands off the coast of Brazil, and into deepest Indonesia to the freezing waters and beautiful backdrops of Iceland then onto the hollow barrels of Mozambique there is certainly no lack of waves and amazing scenery.
Shot in epic 16mm film Joe G has presented Strange Rumblings as a timeless travel / Surf film paying homage to the great classic Endless Summer with a new school twist, a cheeky and often funny Bruce Brown style voice over pulls it together telling the story of searching for paradise and the epic journey along the way. Set to the sultry, hip soundtrack by international DJ Duo The Dukes of Chutney, Strange Rumblings will take you on a journey you won’t soon forget.
