More people have died at Backdoor and Pipeline than any other surf break in the world and after a big 2015/2016 season on the North Shore of Hawaii there were some heavy and near fatal wipeouts.
It’s a place where dreams can be made and shattered all in the same session. Dean ‘Dingo’ Morrison is no stranger to a heavy wipeout, but a couple years back he had the scare of his life when he went head first into the reef at backdoor which shook him up and nearly cost him his career.
