On May 23, 2011, legend skier Andreas Fransson became the first skier to descend the south face of Denali, the highest summit in North America, situated in Alaska.
Such a high altitude and one of the longest distance between the summit and the bottom, make this descent one of the hardest in the world.
Facing south is also one of the biggest challenge and fear for any skier/snowboarder, due the the extremely rapid melting of the snow.
It took him more than 24 hours and a few rappelling before he could reach the bottom glacier.
