Welcome to Directors Diary, a Garage x Corona video series.
Over the following weeks we’ll be showcasing the stars of Taylor Steele’s newest film Proximity, featuring Taylor himself and an inside look at why each surfer has been chosen for the film. The cast is a combination of the world’s best talent, ranging from legends to rising stars, all of which will be revealed as we roll this series out.
This week we’re kicking things off with Rob Machado. Rob and Taylor have been good friends since the start of their careers, and Rob frequently features in Taylor’s films. It’s easy to see why Taylor would choose Rob for the film, he’s often regarded as one of the most stylish surfers ever. “I’m a huge fan of his surfing, I think his style is beautiful. It’s fast and dynamic” Taylor explains.
